As a child I was enthralled by Italian primitive painting it was an art set in a strong social order, an order the church imposed. My own work sets out to occupy a space in the narrative of a disintegrating social order.
I was brought up in London. later studied painting and drawing at the Byam Shaw school of Art, now part of Central and Saint Martins School of Art and University of the Arts London. I subsequently lived and taught art in France.
The series of woodcut hand prints were produced between 1976 up until 1981. Exhibited and purchased for several schools collections during those years, ex. Leicestershire collection. There are still prints available in all editions.
