My work is characterized by seeking truth through multiple perspectives. Each person perceives something different from a shared experience, and with time our memories become altered. I don't set out to produce art about one subject over another. Instead, I rearrange conceptual and literal meanings of received ideas and experiences. In this series, I respond to our innate need for self-exploration and an escape of our psychological, emotional, cultural, or physical confines. Each work depicts a version of the idealized self in the context of a personal narrative through self-exploration.
