He's been creating artistic images for over 30 years, and his childlike sense of wonder
(some call it immaturity) and friendly personality have allowed him the fortune of
creating art for and photographing presidents, punk bands, movie stars, and
Supermodels.
Erik's got a passion for incorporating people in his images, honoring the human form
but attempting to pull what's behind the curtain to the surface in his images. Also, his
specialty of dramatic environmental portraits of people often present more questions
than answers. He specializes in allegory-based imagery and symbolism in storytelling.
Erik's drive to pose questions in images is founded in the photojournalism he has been
involved in after earning a degree at the University of Miami in communications, then
moving forward to earn a master?s degree.
Erik cut his teeth on real film and has happily ruined countless outfits with photography
chemicals, developing an appreciation for all things analog, even after adding digital
platforms to his stable of tools. His travels have exposed him to looking at the world
with an eye for the different. Erik continues to marry film and digital imagery for
Projects.
Erik continues to explore concepts of storytelling in imagery and connecting with his
subjects, whether human or not.
Erik's work has been a part of many group exhibitions across the country and his
limited editions have sparked excitement in the collector world
