The “Rose Moon Blossoms” is a confluence of Art Deco shapes, sparkling gems, soft gentle colors, semi-precious stones, and extraordinary antique textiles.
The handmade Victorian lampshade hosts a dazzling array of sparkling gems! The side panels feature an antique textile used in a 1940’s Hollywood film—rhinestones, sequins, and tiny beads twinkle fabulously in the slightest trace of light, and the top trim is a stunning gold metal bullion with interwoven faceted crystals. The hand-dyed floral matelassé silk underlayment fades delicately from soft rose to taupe and is covered in a fine silver mesh. Beneath the mesh lies antique chenille blossoms, accented with rhinestones, metal thread, metal sequins, and tiny beads. The shade is trimmed in three varieties of antique trims, one of which is an intricate silver and rose spun metal Rococo style. The shade is lined in white silk crepe for maximum light output.
Continuing the theme of glow and sparkle, the beadwork on this shade is delight for the eyes. The hand strung bead work includes 2,320 pieces of semi-precious rose quartz rounds, clear crystal faceted bicone beads, high-luster Czech glass pearls, shimmering silver metal beads, soft rose seed beads, and taupe glass leaf beads. By day, the beads sparkle and shimmer. By night, they provide a soft glow.
The cast metal early-century base has been restored by a certified electrician, with new UL Listed hardware, standard sockets, and push-button switching on the bottom of the base. The base features beautiful pink quartz, doble candelabras, and has height adjuster on the rod to allow desired placement of the shade. Hand painted in soft bronze tone.
