A high-magnification photograph of the Orchid 'Dendrobium', taken in natural light, without manipulation. It is presented as a Framed Single-Edition Giclée Print.
I was scanning petals of Dendrobium looking for something that had meaning. I came across an arrangement of petals, lighting and camera that produced images that resembled flames. Reducing the magnification a little resulted in an image resembling 'Fire'.
The metaphor here is the Fire that results from a lightning strike on an Earth parched by Global Warming.
This is the third in a series of seven images tracing a path that Global Warming might take.
